A big thank you to Ayaan’s mummy for staying in school today to paint some faces. We had lots of Spider-Man’s, butterfly’s, a tiger and a rabbit.

Can you spot the children behind the paint?

This morning we invited parents to watch us sing our Christmas songs.  We did a fantastic job!

We then sat with our parents and played phonics bingo and made a basket with some yummy treats for us to enjoy. Adam won the class bingo for RA.

Check out our pictures from this morning below;

The children have been wrapping their own presents in their Maths lesson. As they wrapped the presents, they discussed 3D shapes and identified that their shape was a cuboid.

They then placed each present under the tree.

EYFS had a visit from Wise Owl Birds of Prey earlier today. They were able to see, touch and hold a variety of birds and they also saw some of them fly across the classroom! Here are some pictures…

Tawny Owl

Scops Owl

Eagle Owl

Barn Owl & Barn Owl chicks (6 weeks old)

Harris Hawk

In all the pictures below the children are holding a Little Owl – that’s the name of the species, not a description, although it is quite little!

Mrs Kelly will be working with both reception classes on a weekly basis. She will be leading a 20 minute class session, which will involve circle time. During this time children have the  opportunity to talk about behaviour, friendship and other issues.

In this session Mrs Kelly introduced the dinosaur headteacher who taught us the importance of following rules.

Louis and Kayla are the first children in RB to achieve 50 dojo points. They were visited by the deputy head ‘Mrs Lawton’  and were each given a delightful present.

I wonder who will be next?
